1. Phonebook no longer have the MINI A-Z to choose a name. The A-Z list is consolidated into a scroll bar when u can flick scroll A-Z of your choice.
2. Alarm much better interface.
3. Widget Can customize.
4. Settings page is still classified into 4 big tabs--> sound,display,power,memory , the main ones with " ALL SETTINGS" below.
5. Widget still includes CNN, Yahoo stocks, Google Search Bar, Yahoo Search Bar, AccuWeather, And more widgets from their Samsung site.
6. Samsung has added movie trailers and it's OLD movie trailers. It's transformers 1 and Kung Fu Panda, and some Samsung movie/Video Clip. ( That's why the file is so BIG)
7. Added game : Gameloft Asphalt 4: Elite Racing HD v1.12 (drive the car using Omnia's Accelerometer.)
Anyways, If you guys do not want to download this ROM, I will post a Custom ROM which cleans out most of the useless stuffs (E.G: Movie trailers) from Modaco. The chef that will cook the ROM is Mr. Taril. His Rom is Supposed to be faster cause he removes most of the useless stuffs without compromising the structures of the ROM. So, you will still get everything from IA5, It's just lighter cause of the Slimming from Taril.

For Australia, It's ok if you are not lock down to one network. If so, You still can unlock yourself with the steps shown this threads comment (http://bongstersomnia.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-to-upgrade-samsung-omnia-firmware.html)
If your phone is unlocked.. Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines ROM best suits your phone.
Malaysia and Singapore's ROM is "DZAI5" which includes recognizing Chinese characters for daily uses e.g: sms and Chinese websites.
While Philippines "DXAI5" is purely in English.

I just tried to update this rom however the app ask you a few questions resets the Omnia then nothing. I using the Vista version, any ideas on what is wrong?

I tried a second time downloade one file then asked me to manually turn on the Omnia. Now all I get is the Samsun Omnia startup page and nothing else. Reseting doesn't help and I can't get active sync to work. What should I do?

Try updating the firmware again. Follow the instructions again and see if it works. IF the firmware updates and it has any signs showing these words MOHANANS, Well sad to say dude that you have just bricked your phone and need to send it to the Samsung service center. They will know what to do. Make sure that you have samsung modem driver installed and just follow the instructions.

Please try and update the firmware again. Something must have gone wrong while updating the firmware cause you are suppose to have something like these.

Remember, Always perform a Hard Reset on your main memory once you have completed the update.
How to perform Hard Reset?
Turn on your omnia and immediately press these two buttons together.
1) Answer Call button; and
2) Drop Call Button.

I doubt it.. But if you are having an unlock model of i900, you can upgrade it to DXia5 for English Rom. If not, You can unlock it yourself, i have already shown the steps over here.
